The Best Devices To Gear Up With In 2021

If you’re looking to replace your old phone or are interested in a tablet, then you’re in luck. Redwood Creative has some recommendations for the best devices for 2021. Check out these smartphones, tablets, and smartwatches.

Smartphones

So, iPhone or Android? It will always be up to preference, so we’ll leave the statistics up to you. The iPhone 12 currently has a 4.5 rating on Google. Meanwhile, the Samsung Galaxy S21 also rates 4.5. It is important to note that Samsung put more effort into the Ultra, which rates 4.7. However, the Ultra is at $1,200. If you’re interested, you can read all about it here.  Likewise, Apple has a luxury version, the iPhone 12 Pro, which rates at 4.6. The pro version contains enhanced camera features and sturdier material. As far as the standard version, it has 5G support and Apple’s new A14 chip. They renewed the design and made the phone a little sturdier. Meanwhile, Samsung’s S21 also contains 5G support and a new design. Samsung drastically improved the camera quality. The S21 has Gorilla Glass covering the phone.

Our verdict? If you can wait for a new phone, wait until later for a new release. With huge changes to both Apple and Samsung’s design, it is best to wait until they work out kinks and improve bugs. Nevertheless, it is important to get a 5G-compatible smartphone soon. Why not try switching it up and see what surprises you?

Tablets

These big phones/small computers are convenient to have. It’s perfect for traveling and if you like to utilize all areas of the house. While iPads were the best tablets to have and are still trusty, the Samsung Tab S6 isn’t too bad, either. Especially with the S pen, which will help your stylus pen stay with your device. If all of your devices are Apple, then stick with the iPad. They’re always reliable and easy to use. Otherwise, see how Samsung has advanced on their tablet game. Both have the options for LTE/5G support.

Other Devices

Aside from a new phone or a new tablet, smartwatches and FitBits are still in. Apple’s Watch Series 6 is noted for its blood oxygen sensor. Samsung also has smartwatches, and they can connect to Apple products. Otherwise, the Fitbit Sense is the best smartwatch. It has a long battery life, a GPS, and compatible with both Apple and Samsung.

Let us know what you think the best devices are for 2021! We are always open to suggestions.

The Samsung S21 Smartphone

South Korean company Samsung released their newest smartphone on January 29, 2021. The S21, following the S20, is different. Samsung previously had three different types of Android phones: Note, Galaxy S, and Galaxy Z. Read here all about the Samsung S21 and to see how the tech company is changing things up.

Samsung S21 Features

Now, the S21 will come with a built-in stylus pen, the S pen. This was previously on the Note phones. But, now that those are being discontinued, the S pen transferred over to the S21. Another feature is the upscale 1080×2400 pixel camera. With 5 cameras on the back, Samsung shuts down memes about their (previously) poor camera quality. The display is 120 Hz on a 6.2″ screen. Made with 5G in mind. iPhones are notorious for easily cracking/shattering, but not the S21 and its Gorilla Glass screen. Going off the S20, the newer model will upgrade the all-in-screen fingerprint sensor. Battery life continues to hold up as the S21 can last roughly 90 hours without charge. Oh, and it looks like the days of headphone jacks are gone, as there are none on this new release.

Bixby, which is the Android Siri, has some new upgrades as well. Now, a better understanding of different languages and better smart capture. Bixby has been further modified to be more of an assistant rather than a needy partner. Overall, the design and display are pretty, much more sleek and smooth than its precedes.

S21 Reviews

Right now, the Samsung S21 and the Ultra costs $700 after the S20 costs nearly $1,000. Is it worth it? Overall yes. TechRadar admits it’s not as exciting as previous releases due to some Apple-like moves, such as no headphone jack and no charger in the box. Also, the display could be a little better. But, TechRadar also claims that otherwise, Samsung delivers a quality phone once again. It’s a powerful phone, capable of running multiple apps without slowing down or overheating. Also, the camera quality is the best yet. The night mode camera is phenomenal, and I can confirm that myself. Apparently, the Ultra is the best version. The final verdict: Samsung’s S21 is worth buying, but don’t be in a rush to get it. The standard is 6.2″, the S21+ is 6.7″, and the Ultra is 6.8″.
