Business Logo Design Tips

September 15, 2020
by Jada McWilliams with No Comment Business & Industry

The best way to capture your audience’s attention is with a dazzling logo. Your business logo reflects who you are and your company’s goals. Thanks to today’s graphic design technology, your logo can be anything you want it to be! From creative borders to detailed icons, draft a variety of designs. Also, you can ask others for ideas. Such as a graphic designer, they can help you with their expertise. Your logo is your brand- don’t rush the process!

Font and color

Your font and colors are the most important thing. If you’re more of an industry-oriented business, then lean more towards a simpler, modern design. Typically, black and white color, easily readable font with a contrasting blue or grey background will yield an overall professional cool tone. However, deeper colors such as forest green, navy blue, and maroon are good background tones as well.

For social media businesses, we recommend large, thin fonts with brighter colors, such as yellow, rose red, and aqua colors. Icons are typically simple, but creative. A fun, yet professional logo is a must-have for Instagram business logos. Choose what works best for you and what you like.

Border and Design

When it comes to border and design, less is more. You want your audience to focus on your name, not on the flashy stuff around your brand. But, you do want to stick out from a crowd. So, create a unique icon. This small yet efficient emblem will not only reveal what your company represents, but people will especially remember icons in logos, such as the infamous Nike check. Choose from nature-inspired icons to initials/anagrams with a pretty border. Here’s an idea: have your logo be in a GIF format. Though, it may not work on all browsers.

Business Line Icons. Editable Stroke. Pixel Perfect.

The possibilities are endless when creating your business logo. Think about who you are appealing to: industry business professionals, scientists, online shoppers, ect. Use your colors, borders, and icons accordingly. Such as, pairing and contrasting your colors and keeping the image a manageable size. While keeping your logo simple is better for readability, be creative so people will remember it!
